Some reports have been predicting an avalanche of job candidates flooding the market in 2010 . However attracting and retaining quality staff will be key to delivering customer service excellence in the year ahead.

Michael Harvey - CEO CareerOne.com
Michael Harvey, CEO of CareerOne, will share the key highlights from CareerOne's 2010 Hunting the (Hidden) Hunters research report, which suggests that contrary to the predicted opening of candidate floodgates, people will be more considered when changing jobs in 2010. Conducted over the past three years - pre, during and post GFC, the findings show the changing nature of what motivates and attracts the different job hunting segments. Michael will explain the complexities of the job hunting market and the changes seen after the GFC. Customer Service Managers can apply the learnings to improve performance and retention levels of staff in their organisations by understanding what is triggering employees to look for new jobs in 2010 & what will attract them to employers and new positions.
Recruitment has never been about finding a person to fill the job.
The challenge is finding the person who is the 'best fit' and retaining them ...
